These Local Residents Did It, & So Can You!

I've always struggled with my body and after losing two family members in a short space of time it kind of gave me a scare and I wanted to try to do something about it. I wasn't doing so well with it until my friend asked me to go with her to a boxercise class at Zenith, and I've not looked back! From the minute I stepped in the door everyone was so friendly, I didn't feel anyone was judging me for being overweight, they were actually encouraging me to make a difference. I even felt comfortable going in to classes on my own, even when I didn't know anyone as I knew that someone would speak to me. I love that they have a membership that includes pt sessions, so I can do a bit of both. I've been working with one of the instructors separately for pt and nutrition, along with doing classes with Zenith and pt with other instructors as part of my membership. When lockdown happened and the gym closed, Zenith were there for their members and put the classes all online, this meant I was able to workout even more than if I'd been able to get to the gym which was amazing as it really made a difference to my fitness. I def wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of the online classes. Zenith is more than just a gym though, there's a whole social side to it, as they get to know their members so I've not only been able to get fitter but I've made so many new friends too!

Two years ago today I'd had enough. I was very overweight and unfit and I knew I needed to do something. I stopped drinking alcohol and stopped eating real unprocessed food and the weight started to come off. However it wasn't until a friend put me in touch with Gary and Lisa at Zenith Fitness that I started to have the confidence to try to get fit. Exercise has never come easily to me but I love the support I get from the Zenith family. I am far from the finished article but with team Zenith encouragement I am taking on my first beast race and I have never felt better.

I have always struggled with my weight and severe anxiety causing me to have regular anxiety attacks. During lockdown and being on my own, I found comfort in food and gained  a lot in a year, the more I ate the more down I was feeling which set my anxiety through the roof and my confidence was at an all time low... It got to the point where I woke up one morning looked at myself in the mirror and thought only I can make myself feel better and only I can change my lifestyle, no one else. Since joining Zenith only a few short weeks ago I've been so focused at seeing my end goal. It has helped me so much with my confidence and my mental health with zero anxiety attacks since starting my journey with Zenith! Zenith is so welcoming and friendly which I love, and everyone is there to help you, I am really enjoying the classes and the open gym also. The Den is so relaxing and homely, it's great to sit before and after a workout. With feeling the changes in myself in only 2 short weeks I can only imagine how I will be feeling when I get to my goal I'm aiming for. It has been a rollercoaster through lockdown but it has definitely been the best decision for me to change my lifestyle for the better to become healthier, fitter, gain more confidence and most importantly help my mental health. I'm really looking forward to continuing my journey with Zenith.
